What is Pluton PRO

Pluton PRO is Pluton on steroid. It adds lots of useful features to Pluton.

Pluton PRO unlocks a suite of advanced features designed for comprehensive management, enhanced security, and reliable recovery of your data.

1. Centralized Remote Machine Backup​

Pluton PRO enables seamless management and monitoring of backups for all your remote machines directly from your Pluton Dashboard.

  • Lightweight Agent: Install the lightweight Pluton agent (On idle, uses 12MB memory on average) on any personal desktop or server OS, ensuring compatibility even with machines that have very limited system resources.
  • Autonomous Operation: Once set up, the agent connects to your cloud storage and autonomously runs scheduled backups, reporting its status back to your Pluton server instance.
  • Instant Notifications: Get immediate notifications upon the success or failure of any backup run.

2. Real-time Synchronized Backups (Sync-Backups)​

Ensure maximum data availability with real-time synchronization of your machine data to your connected cloud storage.

  • Direct Cloud Copies: Data is synced without encryption or compression, providing multiple, easily accessible copies directly in your cloud storage.
  • Version Control: Store and manage various versions of your files. This feature allows for the simple restoration or download of a file's previous state after it has been changed or removed.

3. Full Linux Server Snapshots and Bare-Metal Recovery​

Create periodic full snapshot backups of your entire Linux server environment to guarantee rapid recovery from system-crippling issues, such as faulty configuration changes.

  • Bare-Metal Recovery (BMR): Pluton integrates with ReaR (Relax-and-Recover) to generate a full bootable ISO of your server. This ISO allows for a complete, bare-metal restoration of the server to its previous state.
  • Granular File Restoration: Beyond full system recovery, you can individually browse and restore specific system files from the snapshot, making it easy to revert to previous configurations for individual applications or system components.

4. Automated Recovery Testing​

  • Proactive Validation: Periodically run automated tests that attempt to mount and validate your snapshots.

7. Enhanced Security: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)​
