Setting up Discord Notifications

Configure Discord Notification integration to receive backup notifications, alerts, and reports. Pluton supports sending messages to your specified Discord channel via webhook.


Getting a Discord Webhook URL

  1. Open Discord and go to the channel where you want to receive notifications
  2. Click the gear icon (Edit Channel) next to the channel name
  3. Go to IntegrationsWebhooks
  4. Click "New Webhook"
  5. Give the webhook a name (e.g., Pluton Backups) and optionally set an avatar
  6. Click "Copy Webhook URL" — it will look like:
    https://discord.com/api/webhooks/000000000000000000/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Configuring Discord Notifications in a Backup Plan

  1. Open your Backup Plan and go to AdvancedNotifications
  2. Toggle Send Discord Notifications on
  3. Select when to send notifications from the Send Discord Notification dropdown:
    • On Start — when the backup starts
    • On End — when the backup ends (for both success & failure)
    • On Both Start & End - when the backup start, success and failure
    • On Success Only - when the backup succeeds
    • On Failure Only - when the backup fails
  4. Paste your Discord Webhook URL into the Discord Webhook URL field
  5. Click Send Test Notification to verify the integration
  6. Save your Backup Plan
